An Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) is any aerial phenomenon that cannot be immediately identified or explained. Most UFOs are identified or investigated as conventional objects or phenomena. The term is widely used for claimed observations of extraterrestrial spacecraft, and was coined as an anacronym by Project Blue Book project head Edward J. Ruppelt. Another widely used term for the phenomenon is "flying saucer." Studies and investigations have been conducted by various governments worldwide, along with private individuals and organizations. In the United States, studies began in the late 1940s and have included Project Grudge, Project Sign and Project Blue Book. The latter was ended in 1969-70 after the Condon Committee officially concluded that the subject failed to merit further study. However, an unpublicized study named the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was funded by the U.S. government from 2007-2012, and a successor program named the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force is currently operational. Unidentified lights and flying objects have been reported in the skies for much of human history. The topic of UFO's has been, and is currently, popular in worldwide culture in fictional movies, television and other media. UFO reports are also the subject of continuing debate and news reporting.

Extraterrestrial Life is hypothetical life which may occur outside Earth and which did not originate on Earth. Such life might range from simple prokaryotes (or comparable life forms) to intelligent beings and even sapient beings, possibly bringing forth civilizations which might be far more advanced than humanity. The Drake equation speculates about the existence of sapient life elsewhere in the universe. The science of extraterrestrial life in all its forms is known as astrobiology. Since the mid-20th century, active ongoing research has taken place to look for signs of extraterrestrial life. This encompasses a search for current and historic extraterrestrial life, and a narrower search for extraterrestrial intelligent life. Depending on the category of search, methods range from the analysis of telescope and specimen data to radios used to detect and send communication signals. The concept of extraterrestrial life, and particularly extraterrestrial intelligence, has had a major cultural impact, chiefly in works of science fiction. Over the years, science fiction communicated scientific ideas, imagined a wide range of possibilities, and influenced public interest in and perspectives of extraterrestrial life. One shared space is the debate over the wisdom of attempting communication with extraterrestrial intelligence. Some encourage aggressive methods to try for contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life. Others-citing the tendency of technologically advanced human societies to enslave or wipe out less advanced societies-argue that it may be dangerous to actively call attention to Earth.

Ron Reagan, American journalist and radio host, political analyst for KIRO radio and later, Air America Radio, where he hosted his own daily three-hour show. son of President Ronald Reagan, was born Ronald Prescott Reagan on May 20, 1958 in Los Angeles, California, where he was raised by Ronald Reagan and his second wife, Nancy Davis Reagan. He moved to Sacramento while his father was governor of California from 1967 to 1975. Ron Reagan undertook a different philosophical and political path from his father at an early age. At 12, he told his parents that he would not be going to church anymore because he was an atheist. Reagan attended and was expelled from The Webb School of California. He commented: "They [the school administration] thought I was a bad influence on the other kids. As I recall, the immediate reason was I went to a dance at a neighboring girl's school in a classmate's car. This was an infraction. They had been looking for an excuse. I didn't get caught at anything.". Reagan dropped out of Yale University in 1976 after one semester to become a ballet dancer. He joined the Joffrey Ballet in pursuit of his lifelong dream and participated in the Joffrey II Dancers, a troupe for beginning dancers, where he was mentored by Sally Brayley. Time wrote in 1980: "It is widely known that Ron's parents have not managed to see a single ballet performance of their son, who is clearly very good, having been selected to the Joffrey second company, and is their son nonetheless. Ron talks of his parents with much affection. But these absences are strange and go back a ways." Reagan and Nancy went to see Ron perform at the Lisner Auditorium on Monday, May 18, 1981. The elder Reagan commented in his White House diary on this day that Ron's performance was reminiscent of Fred Astaire. In 1991, Reagan hosted The Ron Reagan Show, a syndicated late-night talk show addressing political, social and scientific issues of the day. He is a commentator and contributor to programming on the MSNBC cable news and commentary network. He is noted for his liberal views, in contrast to those of his late father, Republican United States President Ronald Reagan.
